This recipe is a twist on a classic baked apple, with a crunchy panko coating. So easy and quick to prepare, this may become one of your favorite desserts to make. No mixers required! Serve warm on its own or with a scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients

Baked Apples

  • 10 apples, peeled and cored

  • 1/3 cup oil

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2/3 cup ground walnuts or Gefen Ground Almonds

Directions

Prepare the Baked Apples

1.

Dip apples into oil, then roll in sugar-panko mixture.

2.

Place into baking pan. Bake for 50 minutes.

3.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

4.

On a plate, combine sugar with nuts and panko.

Notes:

Can be prepared one to two days in advance and refrigerated.

  Serving suggestion: Serve baked apple with Strawberry Sauce.
