If your friend is making a simcha and you want to give something fancy and yet real food (not just cake and cookies), put a lukshen kugel in a bundt pan. It will look amazing, and not be just a nosh. It is very eye appealing and mouth watering. It is also part of the meal, or can be served erev Shabbos to anyone. You’ll be very proud to send it since it is not typical.
1 (12-ounce) package thin lukshen
5 eggs
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup raisins
2/3 cup nuts (optional)
juice and rind of 1 lemon
2 packages vanilla sugar
3-4 tart apples
1/2 teaspoon cinamon
Mix everything together very well. Spray bundt pan with baking spray and pour in the batter.
Put in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour or until it looks well done. Pop out of the pan while still warm.
