Diets This heavenly combination of caramel and cream cheese topped with streusel will have everyone reaching for seconds.
Yield: 2 dozen
1 and 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
2 eggs
8 ounces sour cream
2 cups Beleaves Flour
2 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
3/4 cup caramel cream, plus more to drizzle
1 (8-ounce) container whipped cream cheese
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup light brown sugar or demerara sugar
1/4 cup Beleaves Flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a muffin pan with paper liners and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, sour cream, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 3/4 cup caramel cream.
Prepare the cream cheese filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and egg.
Prepare the streusel topping: In a small bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and flour.
Fill muffin liners about of the way with batter. Add one to one and a half teaspoons cream cheese filling on top and sprinkle with streusel.
Bake for 18–20 minutes. Set aside to cool. Drizzle with extra caramel before serving.
