Diets A great activity to do with your children and grandchildren at your Chanukah party. Yield: 36 cookies
2 sticks margarine, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
1 egg
1 and 3/4 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups Glicks Flour
gel or liquid food coloring, such as Gefen Rainbow Food Coloring
1 tablespoon Lvov Vodka per color
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream margarine, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add egg and beat.
In a separate bowl, mix baking powder, salt, and flour.
Slowly and a little at a time, mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix until dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
Divide dough into two to three pieces and roll out each one to around 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut out desired shapes and place on baking sheet.
Bake for eight to 10 minutes.
Allow to cool.
In a small bowl, combine food coloring and vodka, adding coloring or vodka until you reach the desired coloring. Use a clean paintbrush to pain cookies.

Can I make the dough in advance and put it in the fridge until I’m ready to bake?
Yes! I’d keep in the fridge if you’re waiting a few hours, or I’d keep in the freezer if you’re waiting a few days.
