Diets Replace Cognac in a Sidecar with gin, and this is what you get! A joy once discovered when out of tonic at home but with triple sec to hand.
Martini glass
lemon twist
45 milliliters/1 ounce dry gin
30 milliliters/1 ounce triple sec
30 milliliters/1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 milliliters/1 teaspoon sugar syrup
Shake all ingredients with an ice-filled shaker and strain into a small chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.
