This delicious dish is a classic, through and through.
1 and 1/2 cups Glicks Flour
1/2 cup Gefen Cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 and 1/2 cups pareve whipped topping
1/2 cup coconut milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Thai chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon margarine
3/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 cup Gefen Honey
pinch salt
6 chicken legs, deboned
Glicks Flour seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, for coating
egg, for egg wash
Gefen Seasoned Breadcrumbs, for coating
Place flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl and mix.
Place the rest of the ingredients in another bowl and mix.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill the batter.
Ladle waffle batter into a preheated waffle iron and cook until golden and crisp.
Sauté chili pepper in margarine. Deglaze with vinegar. Add honey and salt. Let simmer for 20 minutes.
Coat chicken legs with seasoned flour. Transfer to another bowl and dredge with egg wash. Then coat with seasoned bread crumbs and fry until golden brown.
Place one piece of chicken on each waffle and drizzle with hot honey to taste.
