yum and easy
1/3 c soy sauce
3 T water
2 T rice wine
1 t sesame oil
2 t sugar
1 T cornstarch
1/4 t red pepper flakes
1/4 t dry mustard
2 T vegable oil
1 lb broccoli
7 oz shiitake mushrooms
1 red pepper
3 cloves garlic
3 scallions
1 T grated fresh ginger
in a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, sugar, corn starch, red pepper flakes and dry mustard together. set aside
in a large nonstick skillet bring 1 inch of water to a boil. add broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes. strain the broccoli and then run under cold water. set aside and allow to fully drain.
add 2 T of vegetable oil and heat over high heat. add mushrooms and red peppers and cook for 5-6 minutes. add garlic, scallions and ginger. cook until fragrant about 30 seconds. return the broccoli to the pan and cook until warmed through for about a minute. add sauce and cook for about 30 seconds.
