A yummy, delicious chocolate chip stick recipe. The beauty of this recipe is that the preparation is done in one bowl and mixed by hand.
12 oz chocolate chips
1 cup sugar
cinnamon sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs
3 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 oz shelled walnuts, chopped
In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, and eggs. Then add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla and mix well. To this, add the walnuts and chocolate chips. The mixture should be very thick and sticky.
Shape into twin loaves and place on either side of a cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Take out and cut into slices 1 inch thick. Spinkle with cinnamon sugar, then put back in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
