Diets Gooey chocolate with tasty halva chunks make this cookie an original.
Yield: 20 cookies
2 and 2/3 cups Glicks Flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup Haddar Brown Sugar
1 and 1/2 sticks margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup chocolate chunks
3/4 cup halva chunks
In a bowl, whisk flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat brown sugar, margarine, and sugar on medium speed until thick, smooth, and well combined, about 30 seconds.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating until just combined and stopping to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed, about 15 seconds.
Reduce mixer speed to low. Gradually beat in flour mixture for about 30 seconds.
Remove bowl from mixer. Using a spatula, fold in chopped chocolate chunks and halva.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill until dough is firm, about one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place spread apart on baking sheet.
Bake for 12–14 minutes, until edges are golden.
