Chocolate Truffle Dessert (for Passover)

Ingredients

Crumbs

  • 15 ounces baby fingers (about 3-4 small boxes), check the weight of each box

  • 7 ounces baking chocolate

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2 tablespoons oil

Chocolate Mixture

  • 6 sticks margarine

  • 2 bars parve Rosmarie chocolate

  • 1 bar parve Torina chocolate

In the Mixer

  • 16 eggs

  • 3 cups sugar

Directions

Prepare the Crumbs

1.

Blend all the crumb ingredients in the food processor using the S blade. You may have to scrape down the sides once or twice.

2.

Divide this into two nine by 13s. Save one cup to use later as topping.

3.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.

Prepare the Chocolate Mixture

1.

Put all this in a foil pan and cover well.

2.

Bake about 20-25 minutes till it’s fully melted. Give it a good mix.

In the Mixer

1.

Beat the eggs and sugar for a full five minutes till light yellow in color.

2.

Then add the melted chocolate mixture and mix.

Assemble

1.

Pour the eggs and sugar mixture over the baked crumbs.

2.

Sprinkle remaining one cup of crumbs on top. Freeze immediately.

3.

Serve straight from the freezer. No need to defrost first. Enjoy!
