Fans of chopped liver will love this interesting new way of serving it, and fans of an easy appetizer idea will love it even more.
1 tablespoon oil, such as Tonnelli Avocado Oil
2 onions, diced
1 sheet Gefen Puff Pastry Dough
8 ounces chopped liver
1 egg, beaten
In a frying pan over medium flame, heat oil and sauté onions until golden.
Roll out pastry dough.
Spread liver on dough. Top with onions.
Line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Roll up and slice by sliding dental floss under the dough, twisting the end, and pulling downward.
Lay pinwheels on baking sheet and brush with egg.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until brown and puffed.
Serve on a bed of lettuce.
