Diets This tea concept is inspired by nana (mint) tea, which is popular in Israel. Many cafés welcome you with a simple cup of hot water with fresh mint, and it is the epitome of comforting. I wanted to make a statement on the table, so as part of the decor I added a bundle of mixed fresh herbs, a cinnamon stick and a honey straw in each napkin ring, with a gray linen napkin as the backdrop. There was a steaming hot cup of water placed by each place setting so guests were able to create a fresh, warming tea concoction when they arrived.
8 to 16 sprigs fresh mint
8 to 16 sprigs thyme, oregano, or rosemary
8 to 16 Gefen Cinnamon Sticks
8 to 16 honey straws
6 ounces boiling water
Place one or two sprigs of mint, one or two sprigs thyme, oregano, or rosemary, one cinnamon stick and one honey straw into six ounces of boiling hot water. Steep for a few minutes before enjoying.
