Diets This red grape clafoutis is a delicious and light French dessert.
margarine or butter, for coating dish
1/4 cup sugar, plus additional for sprinkling
3 eggs
6 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla
1 and 1/2 teaspoons orange or lemon zest
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pound red grapes
confectioner’s sugar, for dusting
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a baking dish (or mini dishes) with margarine or butter and sprinkle with sugar.
In a bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, zest, salt, and cinnamon.
Place grapes in prepared baking dish(es). Pour batter on top. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool and dust with confectioner’s sugar. Clafoutis can be served warm or at room temperature.
