1/2 box elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
2 frozen garlic cubes
3 cups milk or half n half
6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
dash of cayenne pepper
dash of ground mustard powder
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons flour
Cook the macaroni as per package instructions.
Melt butter. Add garlic and mix until incorporated.
Slowly add flour, one tablespoon at a time, mixing quickly to combine.
Add milk. Mix.
Bring to a boil.
Lower to a simmer for about five minutes.
Add spices.
Mix in cheddar cheese.
Add more half ‘n half if too thick.
