Diets I’ll make this quick (so you can make this, quick!) This recipe is all about simple, satisfying staples. You can use what’s in your pantry to make a masterpiece in your microwave! Mix and match ingredients to create your favourite morning or pre-workout snack. For the Body:
3 cups rolled oats (gluten free if needed)
1 cup nuts, chopped (Any nuts will do – the more variety the better: hazelnuts, pecans, almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, walnuts, peanuts, whatever you’ve got, throw ‘em in there)
1/2 cup seeds of choice (Again, use what you’ve got! Sunflower and pumpkin are my favorite)
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup Haddar Baracke Tahini
1/4 cup Gefen Honey
1/4 cup blackstrap molasses
In a large, microwave-safe bowl mix oats, nuts, seeds, salt, and cinnamon together until well combined.
Add melted coconut oil, tahini, honey, and molasses and mix until distributed equally.
Microwave on high for two minutes, then stir mixture well.
Microwave on high for another two minutes or until mixture appears dry, and stir well.
Transfer hot mixture onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or silicon mat and spread evenly to cool.
Once granola is completely cool, transfer into an airtight container. Serve over yogurt and fruit, on smoothies or by itself. Stays fresh for up to 1 month. Makes about five cups.
