Crumb Cake Hamentaschen

Imagine the child of a hamentaschen and crumb cake. This is that child.

Ingredients

Crumb Cake Hamentashen

Crumbs

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 and 1/2 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup oil (start with 1/2 and if too dry add in an additional 1 – 2 tablespoons)

Directions

Prepare the Hamentaschen

1.

Mix the eggs, oil, and sugar together.

2.

Add in the baking powder, salt, and vanilla sugar, and mix.

3.

Add in the flour and mix until a dough forms. (If dough is wet add in one to three tablespoons more flour, one at a time.)

4.

In a separate bowl in all the ingredients for the crumbs together.

5.

Roll out the dough and cut out circles. Fill with about one to one and 1/2 teaspoons of the crumb filling. Seal sides well.

6.

Bake 15-18 minutes.
