Dairy Dipping Sauces for Your DIY Pretzel Bar

These sauces are so amazing because (a) they’re dairy and heavenly, (b) they’ll keep a great consistency throughout your party and won’t harden (no need for little sternos or fires at your party!) and (c) they’re super simple to put together! Perfect for your DIY Pretzel Bar. Other topping ideas and combos below!

 

Each sauce yields 1 and 1/2 to 2 cups.

Ingredients

White Chocolate Sauce

  • 1/2 cup half & half (or 1/4 cup heavy cream and 1/4 cup milk)

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce

Hazelnut Sauce

  • 3/4 cup half & half

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 (3-and-1/2-ounce) bar Elite Milk Chocolate or other dairy chocolate, broken into chunks

  • 1/2 cup Delinut cream

Chocolate Caramel Sauce

  • 1/2 cup half & half

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 (3-and-1/2-ounce) bar Elite White Chocolate, broken into chunks

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Directions

Prepare the White Chocolate Sauce

1.

In a small saucepan, bring half & half and butter to a simmer, then remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.

Prepare the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce

1.

In a small saucepan, combine half & half, sugar, cocoa powder, and butter. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Add peanut butter and corn syrup and stir until smooth.

Prepare the Hazelnut Sauce

1.

In a small saucepan, combine half & half, sugar, and butter. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Add chocolate and Delinut cream and stir until smooth.

Prepare the Chocolate Caramel Sauce

1.

In a small saucepan, combine half & half and butter. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Add chocolate and caramel and stir until smooth.

Do these dipping sauces freeze nice?

You can the sauces sauce, as long as you do so carefully. Freeze it in an airtight container with plastic wrap on the surface to protect it from crystallizing. When you’re ready to use it, let it thaw in your fridge first, and then warm it up in a double boiler.

half and half is half cream and half milk that can be store-bought or you can make your own.
