Need a simple yet filling supper? This is the meal for you! You can also skip the pitas and serve these as loaded fries. Either way it’ll be a hit.
1 package turkey deli
1 package pastrami or other deli meat of your liking
2 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons Gefen BBQ Sauce, duck sauce or sweet chili sauce
6 pitas
fillings such as Sabra Hummus, coleslaw, babaganoush etc.
fries, cooked from frozen, such as Beleaves, or oven fries recipe here
Start by thinly slicing the deli meat into strips.
In a frying pan, heat the oil on medium-high heat. Add in the deli strips and let sit a minute before tossing. Allow to cook till crispy, about eight to 10 minutes, while mixing for even cooking.
Towards the end, add in the sauce of your choice.
Remove from heat, then add to a pita with the fillings.
