Diets Dreidel Egg-In-A-Hole is a fun, festive twist on the classic egg-in-a-hole, shaped like a dreidel for a playful Chanukah touch.
6 slices bread
6 eggs
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup sauteed spinach such as Beleaves
1 onion, diced and sauteed
kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper
butter, for the pan
Use a large dreidel cookie cutter to cut out a shape from the bread. Reserve the cutouts to toast later!
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cheddar, milk, sauteed veggies and spices.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt one tablespoon of butter. Add one to two slices of bread and cook until golden, about two minutes. Reduce heat to low, and flip.
Pour egg mixture into the cutout shape. Cover the skillet and cook until the egg is set, three to four minutes. Transfer the slice(s) to a plate and repeat with the remaining bread.
Toast the cut outs and serve with the dreidel in a hole!
