This easy brisket takes less than 10 minutes to prep. No searing required, and it tastes great. This recipe is ideal for small families, but you can double or triple if needed.
2 pounds 1st cut brisket or top of the rib
5 onions, cut in circles
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon pepper
2 tablespoons consommé
1/2 cup water
Put half of the onions on the bottom of a nine by 13 tray, put the brisket on top of the onions, sprinkle meat with half the ingredients – one tablespoon salt, one tablespoon onion power, one tablespoon powdered garlic, 1/2 tablespoon pepper, one tablespoon consommé.
Flip the meat over and put the rest of the ingredients. one tablespoon salt, one tablespoon onion power, one tablespoon garlic powder, 1/2 tablespoon pepper, one tablespoon consommé and the rest of the onions.
Put 1/2 cup of water in the tray on the side so as to not take off the spices from the meat.
Cover very tight with double silver foil. Put in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for three hours. Cool for 10 minutes and slice. You get buttery soft meat, enjoy.
