When it comes to string beans, I have heard and seen so many versions, but this one remains my all-time favorite. No need to use a pot, and the cooking time can be adjusted, depending on whether you like your string beans crunchy or soft. Thank you, Ruchi C., for sharing this incredibly simple recipe with me.
1 pound fresh string beans, ends trimmed
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced (or 3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic)
1/4 cup Tuscanini Olive Oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place string beans in a 9×13 pan (or the size larger). Generously sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Mix garlic and olive oil and pour over string beans. Toss to coat.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of string beans and how soft you like them. (When I use French string beans, I take them out after 10 minutes; when I use the fatter ones, I leave them in for closer to 20 minutes.) Remove from oven and toss again before serving.
