Diets Edgware salad is named after Edgware, the town in London where my husband grew up. It’s an addictive staple on so many Shabbos tables and even an item on local caterers’ menus! The original “dressing” is simply mayo mixed with a little garlic powder to taste. You can use that, or substitute with any store-bought Caesar-style dressing.
8 ounces chopped romaine lettuce
1/2 cup Gefen Dried Cranberries
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Caesar-style dressing
1/2 cup garlic-flavored croutons, such as Gefen
In a serving bowl, toss lettuce with dried cranberries and almonds.
Add dressing and toss to coat.
Top with croutons and serve.
