Ingredients

Egg-in-a-Bagel Hole

  • 3 bagels, halved horizontally

  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese, each cut into 4 strips

  • 6 eggs

  • Gefen Salt, to taste

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.

2.

If the bagel holes are small, use a round cookie cutter to enlarge them, creating more space for the eggs. (Don’t discard those bits of bagel that you cut out. Bake them together with everything else and use them as dippers!)

3.

Place the bagel halves on the baking sheet so that the bottom halves face up and the top halves face down.

4.

Put four strips of cheese in the center of each bagel half, extending over the sides. Add the eggs and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

5.

Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the eggs are set to your liking. Add cream cheese or butter around the eggs and serve.
