what is Hawaij?
There are two kinds of Hawaij. One is a mix of spices, specifically for sweet mixtures. Coffee, baking, etc. Then there is a mix for things like soups/meats. It is made up of more savory spices. You have to check and make sure you pick the right one. Pereg puts out Hawaij, as you see in the picture and specifies that this is for coffee. They also make the savory mix. You could probably get the spice in stores that sells ethnic spices, but with Pereg you know that what you have is kosher. In Israel, you can get it anywhere with every heckcher you can think of.
