Diets This recipe takes good hearty farina up a notch by adding a delicious oatmeal crunch for extra flavor and texture.
2 and 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
4 tablespoons sugar
4 and 1/2 tablespoons farina
dash of salt
1 slice American cheese (for a creamy texture; you can leave it out if you want)
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup Haddar Brown Sugar
1 cup Glicks Flour
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
1/2 tablespoon Gefen Maple Syrup
Heat the milk and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.
Add the sugar and vanilla and mix. Once it starts to boil, add the farina and salt and mix well.
Let cook for five minutes.
Once removed from heat, add the American cheese and blend with a hand blender.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Pour into a lined baking sheet and spread out.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
Use the oatmeal crunch to top the farina.
