Table grilling makes everything more fun. Enjoy the company of your friends and family as your sausage gets roasted in flames right there at the table.
1 (2×10-inch) sausage
1/2 cup Lvov Vodka, plus more as needed
deep ceramic dish
1–2 metal skewers
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Cut the sausage hasselback style: Make a series of cuts down the length of the sausage, about every quarter inch, making sure not to go all the way through. (To make this easier, hold the sausage between two skewers while you cut.)
Bend the sausage into a doughnut-like shape and thread a skewer through it to hold the shape. Place on the prepared baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes.
Place a deep ceramic dish on a wooden or slate board, and pour the vodka into it. Light the vodka using a lighter, kitchen torch, or long match. (The dish will get hot.)
Place the skewered sausage over the dish and allow the flames to grill the sausage until crispy, about two minutes on each side. If the flames die out before the sausage finishes cooking, pour more vodka into the dish, light it, and resume cooking.
Transfer the sausage to a plate and serve.
