This recipe is from Shmulik, whom we feel honored to call a good friend. Shmulik radiates love and his home is a constant hub of activity, always filled with guests from all walks of life. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, you can always count on his door being open. Shmulik tends to the grill with pure joy, as he takes real pleasure in preparing dishes to serve his guests. His ability to create a welcoming atmosphere and bring people together is truly inspiring. These foil-packed lamb chops are his signature dish. The lamb cooks slowly, becoming incredibly tender, and the vegetables soak up all the rich flavors from the meat and spices.
8 lamb chops
2 pounds baby potatoes
16 ounces broccoli
1 (8-ounce) bag pearl onions or shallots
1/4 cup Gefen Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Heaven and Earth Date Syrup
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons meat seasoning
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Cut four sheets of aluminum foil so they measure about 9×13 inches.
Divide the lamb chops, potatoes, broccoli, and pearl onions between the foil sheets and drizzle with olive oil and silan.
Season both sides with garlic, meat seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Top with rosemary and fold over the edges of the foil to form a packet. Place the packets on the grill for 30 minutes.
