Frosted Nut Brownie

These frosted nut brownies are delicious, thick and decadent! Using a stand mixer or a hand-held beater, this one-bowl recipe is a win every time. Topped with a thick chocolate frosting, these fudgy, nutty and chocolaty brownies are perfect!

Ingredients

Frosted Nut Brownie

  • 8 eggs

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 3 vanilla sugar

  • 1 and 1/3 cups oil

  • 1 cup water

  • pinch of salt

Frosting

  • 1/2 pound baking chocolate

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 ounces (1/2 stick) margarine

Directions

Prepare the Nut Brownie

1.

Beat eggs and sugar until light.

2.

Add rest of ingredients.

3.

Pour into a lined 16×10 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.

Prepare the Frosting

1.

Melt chocolate and water in pot.

2.

In mixer, cream sugar and margarine.

3.

Pour melted chocolate into creamed margarine and continue mixing for two minutes. Allow to cool.

How can this be in the oven for an hour? It can ruin the texture of the brownies and make it dry…
