The crunchy nuts, smooth strawberry coulis, and fresh fruit are three components that, combined, build to a lovely fruit salad crescendo. This fruit salad can serve either as a healthful starter course or a light, refreshing dessert. Aim for a combination of at least four different types of fruits.
In a food processor, puree all the ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a roasting pan, combine brown sugar, Rice Krispies, margarine, and walnuts and bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and stir well to blend the flavors. Allow to cool. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
In a large bowl, combine the fruits.
Scoop the fruit salad into individual serving bowls. Spoon the strawberry coulis over the fruit salad, then spoon the nut crunch on top and serve immediately.
Tips:
For added effect and flavor, sprinkle pomegranate seeds on top of the fruit salad before serving.
Notes:
Any leftover nut crunch can be frozen.

NUTTY situation! I was searching for exciting new recies for Rosh Hashana… this was tagged for the above yom tov yet it contains nuts.
According to most minhagim WALNUTS are not used on this yom tov because walnuts are ‘egoz’ in hebrew which is equivalent to ‘cheit’. May we all have a yom tov free of cheit (and nuts)!!
You can leave out the walnuts and increase the rice krispies.
