Give a twist to the famous garlic confit by adding cherry tomatoes. The tomatoes and garlic combined give the perfect sweetness and add an excellent burst of flavour. The most amazing dish with homemade challa for a Friday night meal.
20 half cherry tomatoes
20 garlic cloves
Olive oil
Kosher salt
Black pepper
1-2 tbsp silan (date syrup)
Slice cherry tomatoes in half and place in wide pan.
Add the garlic cloves and pour in olive oil. Garlic should be completely covered in oil. Roast on medium flame until garlic is soft and well roasted. (Approx. 20 min.)
Once ready, season to taste with kosher salt, black pepper and silan.
