Gefilta Fish Balls

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 22 ounce Gefilta fish, defrosted for 20 minutes

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 squash, sliced in circles

  • 1 package frozen peas n carrots

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2 cans tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • salt, to taste

  • pepper, to taste

  • 1 large half green pepper

Directions

Prepare the Gefilta Fish Balls

Saute onions until translucent. Add garlic, then squash, then frozen veggies.

Saute a few minutes. Add tomato sauce. Refill each can halfway with water and add to pot. Add sugar and spices. Bring to a boil.

3.

Form fish into balls. Drop into boiling sauce. Add green pepper on top.  Lower heat and simmer for one hour and 15 minutes partially covered.
