Glazed pecans have a sweet and savory glaze and complement many lettuce or cabbage based salads. They are also a delicious filling snack, full of protein, healthy fat, fiber and many important vitamins and minerals. If you leave these pecans on the counter, they will slowly disappear!
4 cups pecans
3 tablespoons oil, such as Gefen Walnut Oil
4 tablespoons Gefen Maple Syrup
6 tablespoons Haddar Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional to add spice)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a cookie sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper, covering the pan completely.
Spread the pecans on the cookie sheet in a single layer.
Bake the pecans for 10 minutes.
Mix the oil, maple syrup, brown sugar, kosher salt, cinnamon and cayenne pepper in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave for one minute to melt the ingredients.
Mix the glaze with a spatula.
Pour the glaze onto the pecans on the cookie sheet.
Using a spatula, coat the pecans with the glaze.
Spread the glazed pecans in a single layer on the cookie sheet.
Bake again in the oven for five minutes to solidify the glaze.
Remove from oven.
Using a spatula, mix the pecans again with the thickened glaze to evenly coat the top and bottom of the pecans.
Carefully spread out the pecans into a single layer on the cookie sheet so they don’t get stuck to each other.
Let the pecans cool a few minutes.
Separate any pecans that are stuck together before it cools completely. Enjoy!
