Hearty and filling, gnocchi with bolognese sauce is a complete dinner in (mostly) one pan.
2 tablespoons Tuscanini Olive Oil
1 large onion, diced
1 cup diced mushrooms
1 cup diced bell peppers
1 cup diced zucchini
2 to 3 cloves chopped garlic or 2-3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
2 stalks diced celery
1 cup dry red wine
2 pounds ground beef
2 to 3 cups Tuscanini Crushed Tomatoes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
a few crushed chili flakes, to taste (optional)
2 packages frozen Tuscanini Gnocchi, prepared per package directions
Heat oil in a large skillet and sauté onions until golden.
Add remaining vegetables and cook until all vegetables are almost cooked through.
Add wine and let liquid reduce by about half.
Add ground meat and cook until brown.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and chili flakes if desired.
Let sauce simmer on low for 15 to 20 minutes.
Pour sauce over prepared Tuscanini Gnocchi, toss, and enjoy!
