Esty is back with the ultimate easy one-pot dinner that proves gnocchi isn’t all about the dairy. With Tuscanini gnocchi, your meat gnocchi sauce will be ready in three minutes! Get ready to add this one to your weekly dinner rotation.
Watch the video here!1-2 packages Tuscanini Gnocchi
1 large onion
6 cloves garlic
1 jar Tonnelli Marinara Sauce
4 tablespoons Gefen Tomato Paste
1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt and pepper to taste
2 pounds ground beef
In a food processor, puree onion and garlic.
Add onion and garlic to a pot with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Sauté until fragrant, stirring occasionally.
Add meat. Using a potato masher or a wooden spoon, break the meat up until there are no remaining chunks and stir until meat is completely browned.
Once meat is cooked through, add in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and sugar. Stir to incorporate and bring to a boil.
Once sauce reaches a boil, add salt and pepper to taste, and stir to incorporate. Add gnocchi and let cook for at least 3 minutes. The longer it cooks, the more flavor is absorbed from the sauce.
Serve and enjoy!

can extra be frozen?
This recipe work with ground white turkey instead of the beef?
Yes, it should be ok.
frozen cubes Can I just use the frozen garlic and onion cubes instead of pureeing the real thing? If so, how many cubes of onion would I use?
Six cubes of the garlic. Onions, I would do 6 too.
sweet potato gnocchi Would sweet potato gnocchi be good?
Sure!
Cook gnocchi first? Do I have to cook the packaged bartenura gnocchi first before I add it to my recipe?
Hi Rivky,
According to the recipe, you don’t. Just follow the steps and the gnocchi will cook.
Freeze? Would this freeze well? Also can you use ground turkey or chicken instead of the ground meat?
The meat sauce will definitely freeze well.
