Diets This simple salad is crisp and full of contrasting tastes textures, just the way it should be, from tart green apple to fresh lettuce to tangy pickled onions. Perfectly paired with either the Red Onion Vinaigrette or Maple Dijon Dressing, you choose.

2 heads Boston lettuce
1/2 green apple, sliced into moon shapes
1 fennel bulb, shaved thin
2 tablespoons pickled onions
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh oregano
1 tablespoon salt
1 clove fresh garlic, crushed or 1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic
2 tablespoons sliced red onions
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
6 caramelized cherry tomatoes
1 teaspoon Gefen Maple Syrup
1/2 cup avocado oil
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon dijon mustard
Toss first three ingredients together in a bowl.
Sprinkle pickled onions over the top before serving.
Add your choice of dressings (below). These dressings can also be used over any of your favorite salads.
