And I did not even think that grilled cheese can get any better! Plus it is totally kid friendly! Win win.
4 slices white bread, crusts removed
4 slices cheese
2 tablespoons Gefen Mayonnaise
3 tablespoons oil or butter for frying
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, such as Gefen Dry Parsley Flakes
Tuscanini Marinara Sauce, for serving
Slice the crust off of any bread of your choice and flatter out the bread with a rolling pin.
Place any cheese that you prefer on top of the rolled out bread. I used garlic basil jack cheese and it was incredible! American cheese or mozzarella cheese would work perfectly.
Roll up the bread tightly and add a toothpick to keep it in place. Coat the rolled up bread in mayo and dried parsley flakes.
Once the oil or butter is heated up in the pan, place the grilled cheese roll into it with the opening facing down. That way it is sealed up and you won’t need the toothpick anymore.
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping! Absolute perfection.
