As soon as you see the ingredients of this recipe, you’ll start pulling the ingredients out of your pantry! Who doesn’t love breaded chicken in a sweet sauce? Serve with rice and veggies as either an appetizer or main course. If serving a crowd, you may want to make double as it may not make it to the meal, it’s THAT good!
1 and 1/2 pounds chicken cutlets, cut into nugget size pieces
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 cup Gefen Panko Crumbs
1 (20-ounce) can Gefen Pineapple Tidbits, with the juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 ounces chili sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic (or 1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic)
1/4 cup soy sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place chicken nuggets on a large flat plate and mix the mayonnaise into the chicken. Place the panko crumbs on a second plate, and dip the mayonnaise- coated chicken into the crumbs. Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
Prepare the sauce. In a bowl, combine pineapple tidbits (with the juice), brown sugar, chili sauce, garlic, and soy sauce. Mix and pour over chicken. Cover again. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
