Diets We are taking my famous noodle kugel hack and turning it into this heimish Yerushalmi kugel that’s a staple in many homes. This makes it easier to make and even yummier!
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
6 packs Gefen Ramen
2 and 1/2 teaspoons Gefen Salt
1 heaping teaspoon black pepper
4 eggs
Pour boiling water over the noodles and cover so they soften. Drain when soft (around 10 minutes).
In the meantime, combine oil and sugar in a saucepan on medium heat and stir till sugar dissolves and turns golden. Shut flame.
Carefully add the noodles and seasoning. Mix well. Let cool.
Add eggs and mix.
Pour into a round pan and bake on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one and a half hours. I used a deep 10-inch round pan, but you can make it smaller or in a few smaller pans. Adjust baking time accordingly if using smaller pans.
Let cool before cutting.
