Making beef jerky at home in your own kitchen is so much easier than you may have guessed. It takes some time, but almost the entire preparation is hands-off. Just an easy marinade and a good few hours cooking low and slow in the oven.

Start Cooking

Prepare Beef Jerky

  1. Combine all ingredients except pepper steak.

  2. Add pepper steak and marinate overnight.

  3. Discard marinade. Lay flat on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake on 180 degrees Fahrenheit for five hours, flipping halfway through.

    You can store in a tightly sealed bag for a few weeks. Or in the fridge for longer, and in the freezer for even longer.

    Or is there a substitute? You can't get it where I live

    Devora - Liquid smoke can be obtained in Israel now, if that's where you live...
