Making beef jerky at home in your own kitchen is so much easier than you may have guessed. It takes some time, but almost the entire preparation is hands-off. Just an easy marinade and a good few hours cooking low and slow in the oven.
3/4 cup Gefen Worcestershire Sauce
3/4 cup Gefen Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
1 tablespoon Gefen Honey or maple syrup
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 and 1/2 pounds pepper steak
Combine all ingredients except pepper steak.
Add pepper steak and marinate overnight.
Discard marinade. Lay flat on a baking sheet.
Bake on 180 degrees Fahrenheit for five hours, flipping halfway through.

How to store How do I store these? For how long?
You can store in a tightly sealed bag for a few weeks. Or in the fridge for longer, and in the freezer for even longer.

Devora – Liquid smoke can be obtained in Israel now, if that’s where you live…
