I am a huge fan of homemade hummus, but it always intimidated me. When I made chummus for the first time I was actually surprised by how easy it was to make, and I knew I had to keep trying it until I created the perfect recipe.
This chummus by far was my favorite chummus recipe I have ever made. It was a huge hit. The entire container was licked clean.
1 can chick peas (for extra creaminess, remove the shells)
3 tbs. tahini paste
1 tbs. olive oil (plus more for creamier consistency)
salt to taste
1 tbs. lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
tiny bit of water
Throw everything into a blender and blend until smooth.
While blending, add more oil in slowly until it reaches desired consistency. If you like it chunky then don’t add any more oil.
