Diets An easy and delicious recipe for homemade granola with dried fruit, nuts, chia seeds, sesame seeds, and chocolate.
3 and 1/2 cups old fashioned oats (use gluten-free if needed)
1/2 cup safflower oil
1/2 cup maple syrup (or honey)
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup chopped pecans (or hazelnut)
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots (or mango)
1 tablespoon Gefen Cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup dried blueberries (or cranberries)
1/2 cup Gefen Mini Chocolate Chips
4 tablespoons dry chia seeds
Mix the oats, oil, maple syrup, almonds, pecans, sesame seeds , cinnamon, vanilla. Combine and leave to rest for 15 minutes so it will absorb the liquid.
Bake on 300 degrees Fahrenheit until you see that it’s caramel color. Move it around every 10 minutes so it cooks evenly. Bake for a total of 40 minutes.
As soon as you take out from oven add chia seeds, and dried fruit.
When completely cooled, add chocolate.
