For gefilte fish with a flavorful twist, try this easy, fabulous recipe. I guarantee it will become a regular at your Shabbos and Yom Tov table!
2 gefilte fish loaves (defrosted)
2 teaspoons Bartenura Olive Oil
1/2 medium Vidalia onion, diced
2–3 cloves garlic, crushed or 2-3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
5 tablespoons Gefen Honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). Grease a large loaf pan, approximately 10x4x4 inches. Let fish logs defrost a little then unwrap them and place inside pan. Pat down into the pan with a moistened spatula.
Heat oil in a small frying pan. Add onion and sauté until golden, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and honey to onions and bring to a boil.
Turn off flame. Pour onion and honey mixture evenly over fish. Bake for 1 hour, uncovered.

Should the Gefilte fish loaves be defrosted totally or just enough to take the paper off?
seems like enough to take off the paper, partially defrosted or they could be fully.
Thanks. I defrosted partially and took off paper and worked out fine
