Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken, spatchcocked

  • 1 lemon, cut in half

Marinade

Barbecue Rub

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon chili lime seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

Directions

Prepare the Marinade

1.

Mix the marinade ingredients together and rub all over the chicken, getting underneath the skin, too. Sprinkle the rub all over the chicken and rub in.

Grill

1.

Preheat the grill. Place the chicken on the grill over indirect heat. Cook for 25 minutes with the lid closed. Flip, close the lid, and cook for another 25 minutes. Move the chicken to the direct fire and cook for another seven minutes on each side.

2.

Remove chicken from the grill and squeeze the lemon over it. (Feel free to grill the lemon before squeezing it.) Enjoy!
