Diets 1 pack Tuscanini Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 cloves garlic, peeled or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
3 tablespoons almond meal
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
salt, to season
juice from 1 lemon (or about 3 tablespoons Tuscanini Lemon Juice)
2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil, plus more for topping
1 teaspoon Tuscanini Pepper Jam, plus more for topping
3 tablespoons ice water, to thin
1 tablespoon Gefen Sesame Seeds, for topping
handful of toasted almonds roughly chopped, for topping
handful of sunflower seeds, for topping
handful of freshly chopped parsley, for topping
flower petals, for topping (optional)
breadsticks and crackers, for serving
In a food processor, add the chickpeas, garlic, almond meal, onion powder, salt, lemon juice, sesame oil, and Pepper Jam. Blend until smooth and then slowly trickle in the ice water until the mixture is completely smooth and silky.
Spread hummus onto a platter and top with more jam, sesame oil, almonds, sunflower seeds, parsley, and optional flowers. Serve with breadsticks and crackers.
