These are one of my favorite winter wellness treats! They are so good for you, and so easy to make. For best results, try to use ingredients that are as fresh and organic as possible, especially when simmering herbs and citrus.
large piece turmeric, chopped
4 cups filtered water
1/4 cup dried elderberries
juice of 1 orange
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Tuscanini Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger juice
1 tablespoon clove spice
4 tablespoons gelatin
1 tablespoon Heaven and Earth Raw Honey
Add everything except the gelatin and honey into a pot. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook down until it reduces by half (about 45 minutes), leaving around two cups of liquid.
Let the mixture cool completely.
Sprinkle the gelatin over the cooled liquid and let it bloom for five to 10 minutes. Reheat gently (don’t boil) and mix until the gelatin fully dissolves, then stir in the raw honey.
Pour into silicone molds and place in the fridge for one to two hours to set.
Pop out and store in the fridge!
