7 eggs, separated
1 and 1/2 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup orange juice
1 pound (1 and 1/3 cups) Gefen Honey
2 teaspoons coffee, dissolved in 1 cup boiling water
3 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Gefen Baking Soda
4 and 1/2 cups flour
Beat egg whites, add half a cup of sugar, and beat until stiff. Set aside.
Combine egg yolks, remaining sugar, honey and all liquids, mixing very well.
Add dry ingredients, mixing gently. Fold in egg whites until thoroughly incorporated.
Pour into 16- x 10-inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
Cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
