Ingredients

Loaded Crispy Onion Guacamole Salmon

  • 1 2-pound (910-gram) side of salmon

  • 2 tablespoons Glicks Soy Sauce (use a wheat-free version for gluten-free)

  • 2 tablespoons Gefen Honey

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup guacamole (I use store-bought)

  • 3/4 cup crispy fried onions

  • 1/4 cup Gefen Spicy Mayo

  • 1/4 cup sweet sauce

  • 2–3 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional)

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (230 degrees Celsius).

2.

Drizzle soy sauce and honey over the salmon. Then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

3.

Before serving, smear a thick layer of guacamole over the salmon and top with crispy onions. Drizzle with spicy mayo and sweet sauce and top with cilantro, if desired.

Tips:

If you’re making this for a Shabbos day meal, prepare the salmon the day before without any toppings, and add the toppings when ready to serve.

Notes:

You can use store-bought teriyaki sauce instead of the soy sauce and honey.

It’s an asian-style sauce that’s usually served with sushi. You can find it in your local kosher supermarket or make your own- here’s the recipe https://www.kosher.com/recipe/asian-style-sweet-sauce-15055/
