These burgers are incredibly easy to prepare yet have a wonderfully sophisticated flavor. You can also shape the mixture into balls and freeze them with parchment paper layered in between for easy separation. Simply defrost and fry as needed.
1 pound (450 grams) ground meat
1 pound (450 grams) ground chicken
3 eggs
1/2 cup oats
3 tablespoons Glicks Soy Sauce (use a wheat-free version for gluten-free)
5 ounces (140 grams) Tuscanini Tomato Paste
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil, for frying
Place the meat and chicken in a bowl, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly. The longer you mix, the thicker the mixture will become. Use a hand blender to blend the mixture for a few minutes until smooth.
With wet hands, shape the mixture into small balls. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add a few meatballs to the pan and fry until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
