I had the opposite problem too dry. But the family like the taste.
Made this. It was yum. I definitely would recommend baking it longer. the apples needed to get softer as they were a bit hard, but love Aliza and definitely would make this in the future !
the crisp ontop was too little for the amount of apples. and it was too soft it didnt have the crisp that i expected. i tried to bake it longer and it didnt help. so for that i gave it a 3 star. the apples though tasted very yummy. also i didnt use monk fruit instead i used honey.
What can I use instead of monk fruit?
Any sugar substitute or regular sugar should work. You may just have to adjust the quantity depending on what you decide to make.
Can one make in advance and freeze?
Yes!
