Diets Here’s a really simple way to elevate your standard mac-and-cheese lunch or dinner.
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup shredded cheese
3 tablespoons flour
8 ounces macaroni such as Tuscanini Elbow Pasta, cooked and drained
1 and 1/2 cups milk
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
Melt butter over medium heat, add flour and salt. Gradually add milk and cook until thickened.
Add shredded cheese and stir until cheese melts.
Combine macaroni and onion.
Pour into greased casserole and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
